Forecast Labs is a start-up studio designed to efficiently drive revenue growth for companies under the Comcast Ventures portfolio while also helping soon-to-be entrepreneurs launch new businesses.

By adopting an Incubator + Accelerator model, we are able to offer programs and services across Product Management, Marketing, Advertising, Data, Analytics, Payments, Pricing, Business Development, and Operations to truly drive measurable growth across the organization.

Participants join one of two two tracks:

The Launch Track helps incubate new businesses, and
The Growth Track helps existing startups grow revenue

Each track is designed to help a business evolve through the various stages of growth and tackle problems such as marketing efficiency, channel diversification, churn management, user engagement, predictive analytics, fund raise guidance, and more.

Launch

Under this track, we partner with founders at the concept or pre-launch phase to bring a disruptive new business to life. Services offered include:

Founding Team Search - Finding the right co-founder(s) and early stage hires is key. Get connected with key experts to bring on-board as advisers or management team members.

Capital - Access to seed capital that can take the business from concept to live in market while providing key fundraising assistance to bring in additional investors on-board, as needed.

Operational Set Up - Assistance with legal and administrative guidance, permits , trademarks, patents, and other operating setup needs.

Business Model Development - Hands-on help with development of a business plan, financial models, projections, the initial pricing and monetization strategy.

Default Growth Track Access - All incubated businesses have default access to services under the Growth Track.

Under this track we demystify the growth tactics used by the world's best startups and augment our hands-on growth services with the purchasing power of one of the world’s largest companies to drive efficiency.

TV Media Buying - Full service DRTV advertising and analytics with preferred rates, access to national premium media as well as access to a CPA based TV program to de-risk your first year running TV advertising.

Creative Strategy - Guidance on DRTV creative, advice on performance marketing creative.

Marketing & PR Strategy - Review of current marketing strategy; hands-on speaker and Media training with an Emmy Award wining technology and business reporter.

Growth Product Development & Optimization - Audit of conversion and retention funnels and suggestions for improvements along with a detailed testing plan for each.

Monetization, Pricing, and Payment Processing - Monetization and pricing strategy development, audit of current billing/re-billing strategy, audit of payment processor and setup; suggestions and test plans for improvement, as needed.

HR & Talent - Help sourcing candidates for key roles; guidance on vendors and access to preferred partner rates.

Data & Analytics - Audit of key business metrics, hands-on guidance on building sophisticated predictive models, and recommendations on vendors.

Comcast NBCU Platform - Access to Comcast Cable, NBCU, and Sky when relevant; leverage the enterprise's procurement relationships for cost efficiencies.

Sam Landman   Managing Director   For the last 15 years, Sam has invested in and helped build a range of consumer internet businesses. At CV, he’s led investments in media businesses like Fullscreen, Cheddar, Vimeo and Taboola, in social businesses like Nextdoor and Houseparty, in financial service businesses like Acorns, Hippo and Kensho, and in commerce businesses like Zola, Dandelion and KeyMe. He also founded Comcast Accelerate, CV’s growth platform that supports portfolio companies with TV-based acquisition support. Before CV, Sam focused on seed-stage investments at Genacast Ventures and led BD efforts at The Electric Sheep Company, an Emmy award-winning creator of virtual worlds and social games, where he led partnerships with NBC, CBS, Warner Brothers and the NBA. Sam started his investment career at the Invemed Catalyst Fund. He graduated from Bucknell University and received his MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business

Arjun brings 15-years of domestic and international operating experience running Marketing, Growth, Product Management, Analytics, Operations, and P&L management. He is also part of the investing team. Prior to CV, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at AAPTIV Inc and held executive leadership positions at HelloFresh, Tictail, Shutterstock Inc., Squarespace.com, and TheLadders.com. Arjun also serves as an advisory board member at Calm Inc., and Ollie Pets Inc. He graduated with a B.A. in Financial Economics and Integrated Marketing from Southeast Missouri State University.

As Comcast Ventures' Growth Partner, Arjun leads Forecast Labs, focusing on helping existing investments scale efficiently across multiple functions. Arjun brings 15-years of domestic and international operating experience running Marketing, Growth, Product Management, Analytics, Operations, and P&L management. He is also part of the investing team. Prior to CV, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at AAPTIV Inc and held executive leadership positions at HelloFresh, Tictail, Shutterstock Inc., Squarespace.com, and TheLadders.com. Arjun also serves as an advisory board member at Calm Inc., and Ollie Pets Inc. He graduated with a B.A. in Financial Economics and Integrated Marketing from Southeast Missouri State University.

She applies solid traditional marketing skills gained from working with companies in telecommunications, media, pharmaceuticals, mobile gaming, and online publishing. Before joining the marketing function, Kristy led partnerships, identifying business development opportunities between portfolio companies and Comcast NBCUniversal. Her skills in analytics, digital media, and startup growth stem from sales and strategy roles at General Mills and Digitas Health. Kristy earned a B.A. in Economics and an MBA in operations and enterpreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania.

Andrew Kwok   Senior Analyst   Andrew is the Senior Analyst of Forecast Labs, focused on helping startups break into television advertising as a customer acquisition channel. With a deep background in marketing and data analytics, he identifies, guides and optimizes growth opportunities for consumer-facing companies within our portfolio. Prior to CV, Andrew was a strategist and media analyst at OMD USA agency, driving digital investment strategy for Wells Fargo marketing campaigns. He earned his B.S. from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business.

With a deep background in marketing and data analytics, he identifies, guides and optimizes growth opportunities for consumer-facing companies within our portfolio. Prior to CV, Andrew was a strategist and media analyst at OMD USA agency, driving digital investment strategy for Wells Fargo marketing campaigns.
